The American Association was founded, in part, to establish the field’s first code of medical ethics. In alignment with these core values, the International Alliance of Hair Restoration Surgeons (IAHRS) was established with similar objectives.

The IAHRS, setting itself apart from other organizations, selectively admits only those it deems to be leading physicians in surgical hair restoration. This approach is diligently designed to ensure that only the most highly trained, ethically committed, and skilled physicians are represented, maximizing the potential for positive patient outcomes in this intricate and demanding surgical discipline.

Notably, the IAHRS is the only consumer-centric hair transplant society recognized by The American Hair Loss Association.*
